Porky has a good point, in that everyone has something different to contribute. For some guys, it's just the sheer hilarity of having them around, and having a good time. Shayan was never, and will never be a super-beast player, but I would jump at the chance to play with him around again, just because he's such a good friend. Likewise, I've had people that I would never play with again, because of the opposite. Yeah, they were great players, but complete tools. I can count on our guys, even if we're having an off day, to put their best forward, and to play as a team, and to have a good time with it. That's what I'm looking for, when I party up.

That's how I feel to be honest. I'm that guy who's going to go 5-15 and cost us the game. The guy who's gonna contribute more to the opposing team's score than for the team he's playing on. I enjoy playing with you all, I really do. Going into a game knowing that I'm gonna be that guy overshadows that, and generally ruins the experience.

That game was hilarious. I should've reminded him that his buddy missed with 3 RPGs aimed at me, through the course of that match. I couldn't help but laugh after the guy matter of factly told me that shotguns take zero skill to use, after dodging his entire AK clip, at close range, before finally being able to take him out. None at all.

Good games tonight, guys. Sorry I couldn't stick around for more, Reo, but I wanted to try to get some MW2 in with Leo and Liam, before everybody else got online and going.

Plunder was pretty fun tonight, I'd like to see more games like that. Even after we lost Raist and Charlitos, I stuck it out with Kibblz and Prizma, and had a good time. Even had a crazy comeback, after being a guy down, and two scores down, at the start.

Street, you're not that guy, in the very least. Yes, you're inexperienced, and you're still working on learning everything. Every single one of us has been there, and done that. It shouldn't discourage you from even wanting to try to explore the game, and if that's really the way you feel, than I apologize. There was never any pressure from us, that I was aware of, to try to perform like that, and if that's something that's going to hurt your enjoyment of the game, then I'm sorry. Just know at least, that I could care less what your score is, at the end of the game, and more than you're hanging out with us, and hopefully having a good time. I've had so many awful games, that you guys make up for, just by being in the party.

UnicornCharlie swinging back and forth on that bar, in the Plaza, and just yelling Wheeee! all game, more than made up for the fact that I sucked it up for most of it. When we get the whole party going Weee wee wee after a kill, or humming the Underground theme music from Super Mario on Sanctuary, those are the things that keep me playing this game.

Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you're a liability Streety. People that do that, especially because of stats annoy the Bullet Bill F BOMB out of me. I've been in many games with you and you are a good team player as many of us have told you before. You don't have to be the guy with the top score to be an asset to your team mates. It's the taking part that counts IMO. You may go negative sometimes, as do we all, but why should that make you feel like a liabilty? Because that's what a "team/member" thinks? I agree with what Endlo said about "the context of a team". I'd rather have the team player than the stat whore on my team or in our parties every time. People enjoy gaming with you, that should tell you enough. Stop worrying about the score board so much and you will have alot more fun with it. You bring more to a tdm than you think.!! Kiss

It's cool Ends, I got so many dc's last night anyway and had an early morning that I didn't really feel like playing anyway.

Street, me boy!
Listen to these clever people, they speak the truth and nothing else.
Ask yourself, why do we play?

Me myself, I play SOLELY for funs. Sure there's a competetive side of me who wants to get good at a game.
But if I didn't enjoy myself through that process than I wouldn't bother with it at all.

You should take the moment and enjoy exploring the MP part of this game without any pressure, just focus on finding a playstyle you enjoy and do it with the people you enjoy socialising with.

Still, if you only want to play with a smaller group to get more comfortable, then hey, by all means.
Just send me an invite and I'll be there Smile

I hope you're not referring to me when you said anyone, because I never once said that street is a liability. I was merely saying that someone who goes negative (we've all been there) is. It's just numbers people. While a positive attitude helps tremendously and your point is valid I'm just speaking from a competitive point of view.

I think that people are getting their wires crossed on stuff or are not understanding stuff in the terms of geographical differences in languages and nuances.

Porky doesn't mean that so I will leave it at that silver.

That's exactly why I do stupid stuff like that. Because I play games to have fun, and to try and give a chuckle or smile to others. Yes, we all get competitive everyonce in a while, and we may feel bad about our performance in game (I remember that one game I went 2-16. That was horrible). For me, it comes down to this: "Did I have any memorable moments in that match?" Whether it is performance, something funny that happened, some messing around with the guys, that's what I consider a good game. That game I got 2 Deags in less than half a second? That was one of my best shining moments, even though I went negative that game. That RPG deathmatch during somebody's X party, where we all blew everyone up whenever we spawned, sure, we all went HORRIBLY negative and the other team won, but I'll remember that I was laughing so hard forever.

But if that's how you feel Street, then thats your decision. I've said it before, it's all about what you consider a success.

If I get a good memory from a match, then I consider that match a victory.

Geographical differences? I'm not being confrontational I just genuinely don't understand how geography factors into this. Are you talking about how one person from somewhere might interpret something said by someone else from another place wrong? I don't think that's the case.

Did really well today, went consistently 2.0 today and I think I understand how I want to play. Half defense and half offense. It's extremely satisfying letting someone see you and just toying with them until they come around the corner with their hand down their pants. Twisted Evil

Wow, I have NEVER experienced so much lag/dc's in a game as I have with this lately.

It has gone so far that I think I'll put this one on hold for a while and try to give my other games some time instead.
After all, I heard that Dead Space is a good game, and I haven't finished R&C: ACIT aswell.

Does anyone know when the next update for Uncharted 2 is going to be released?

I would expect Double Cash on Halloween weekend, but I'm not sure about a title update, if that's what we're talking about.

The final stretch to X is, so far, seeing some truly amazing games. So far this level, I've gotten two Furies and a Rage, off the top of my head, with several Streaks. It may have something to do with my switching out Glass Jaw for DtI. I think what was happening was, rather than the presence of a negative booster hurting me, it was the absence of a positive. Because when I look at the statistics, Glass Jaw wasn't costing me all that much. Yet there's a marked improvement in my game now. Weird.

PostSubject: Re: Uncharted2: Among Thieves   Uncharted2: Among Thieves - Page 39 EmptyTue Sep 28, 2010 10:02 am

So, despite the lag, I had a good run last night, got 2 rampants during those games I actually wasn't kicked out of.

Also, I've noticed something interesting after I have been forcing myself to a more mobile style, WITHOUT much use of the AK47 (only pick it up when I'm out of ammo and nothing else is available).

I've been trying to use mainly the FAL while constantly on the run, sure I got some poor results, but over time you learn that if you miss even one burst, even against low levels, you're pretty much screwed.

Now my aiming is slowly improving and I can outshoot DTI+AK users very now and then, which to me shows that the FAL is highly underrated by some.

It all comes down to having pin-point aiming and good timing when it comes to firing (thanks Endlo for showing me that).

And if I decide to use the AK or M4, I'll see a great improvement when it comes to aiming with it.

But I'll keep on sticking to the FAL, it's one of few weapons that makes me feel like I have some skills when I kill with it. Smile

Good work turtle, you're better than you give yourself credit for.

I would love a DC weekend, my goal is level 64 by the end of this year, that's one level a month, which means I shouldn't burn myself out on gaming marathons every weekend.

I'll just blame it on being sick, haha.

Charlitos, thanks for joining me later on for a few games befre I had to leave.
It felt so good at that game at Train Wreck, I got face to face with some dude who used the M4, we were like 6 feet away from eachother and BOTH of us did hit every shot.
FAL beats M4 cheers

Now I just need to figure out which booster that'll run best with FAL and run'n'gun.
